Verification Service Procedure

  1. Application and Contract Review
  • Clients submit an application and complete the Verification/Validation Application Form.
  • The Technical Manager reviews the scope, objectives, assurance level, criteria, and materiality threshold.
  • Eligible applications proceed with a signed Rights and Obligations Agreement, and a project file is established.
  1. Planning the Verification
  • Assign a qualified verification team and team leader.
  • Conduct strategic analysis and risk assessment to prepare the Verification Plan and Evidence Collection Plan.
  • When applicable, perform ICT suitability assessments to ensure information security and confidentiality.
  1. Execution of Verification Activities
  • The verification team conducts evidence collection and review, including document checks, interviews, on-site or remote observations.
  • Verify data accuracy, identify nonconformities or material misstatements.
  • Hold meetings with clients to present preliminary findings and allow clarification or correction.
  1. Review and Decision
  • Independent reviewers (not involved in execution) ensure sufficiency and appropriateness of evidence.
  • The Technical Committee issues the final decision (unmodified, modified, adverse, or disclaimer).
  • All review results are documented in the Verification/Validation Summary (Review) Report.
  1. Issuance and Follow-up
  • Issue official verification opinions to clients.
  • Update the internal database and maintain records.
  • Handle appeals or complaints according to the published procedures.

Client Responsibilities

  • Provide complete documentation, data, and site (or remote) access for verification.
  • Implement corrective actions for identified nonconformities and provide supporting evidence.
  • Comply with the agreed scope and requirements under contract and standards.

Outcomes and Follow-up

  • Verification opinions clearly specify scope, criteria, assurance level, and issuance date.
  • Suspended or withdrawn opinions are published on our website.
  • Clients may file appeals or complaints against BF’s decisions in accordance with procedures.
